Michael Chirichello, Ed.D. , is an engaging national and international consultant whose focus is on developing leadership capacity for leaders across professions. He has presented thought provoking professional learning sessions on five continents and throughout the USA that focus on leadership, coaching/mentoring, performance appraisal, team building, organizational change and curriculum design.
He was a teacher, principal and superintendent for 30 years in urban and suburban school districts. He also served as a visiting professor at Northern Kentucky University and was a professor, chair and program director at William Paterson University in NJ. There he launched the Department of Educational Leadership and developed programs for supervisory and principal licensure. His higher education career spanned 17 years.
Michael is the co-author of Principals as Maverick Leaders: Rethinking Democratic Schools and Learning to Lead: Ten Stories for Principals. He has authored many manuscripts, articles and book chapters in professional and juried publications. He is also certified as a TetraMap Consultant. TetraMap is a cross cultural training tool to improve workplace behavior and performance.
Michael enjoys cycling and has biked in the US and in several European countries.
